We Were at the Edinburgh #LightBytes Event

Last night, we washed off a hard day's work by sharing our interactive installations at Edinburgh Light Bytes. Nearly a hundred tech enthusiasts turned up to the event organised by awesome entrepreneur-led Creative Edinburgh and supported by Creative Scotland.

There was heaps of inspiring work to see, from video games to interactive installations, passing through virtual and augmented reality material. The night was definitely productive and allowed us to watch participants' demos, listen to a great panel on the future of art and digital and talk collaborations with other creative souls.

We were also able to introduce our augmented reality, 3D and projection mapping work and share our vision in a short and sweet introduction talk. Check it out in the pictures below, alongside a few snaps of our installations!

A big thank you to Janine and Rachel from Creative Edinburgh for inviting us to take part in the event and working with us on the preps, to Code Base for welcoming us in their brand new space, We Throw Switches for supplying the gear, to the participants for sharing their innovative drive and to everyone who came with their enthusiasm. We'll definitely be back next year with some new work to showcase!

Moon Mission_03 | Entropy

Remember our Moon Mission project? Propulsion has slowed down slightly as we've been working on several heavy client projects, but we are still moving. This time, the word/concept we were focusing on was ENTROPY. We didn't produce an animated piece but came up with a few illustration-based samples of our prep work. Our Moon Missions are definitely going somewhere and we're progressing and developing our inspiration by working on them. We're definitely keeping them on our agenda and will now make them more loose and experimental. Here's a look into our research and development process:

CONCEPT: Reaction Diffusion - these systems are mathematical models which correspond to several physical phenomena: the most common is the change in space and time of the concentration of one or more chemical substances: local chemical reactions in which the substances are transformed into each other, and diffusion which causes the substances to spread out over a surface in space.

CONCEPT: Thermal imaging
